Amber Jiayu Su
Amber Jiayu Su is a Master of Science candidate in Building Technology at MIT. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and Minor in CS from Cornell University.
She is particularly interested in developing scalable pipelines and softwares/tools for urban-scale building feature extraction, such as geometry reconstruction, semantic information inference, and occupant behavior analysis, leveraging computational methods including machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis. Ultimately, she aims to support cities in navigating the complexities of climate adaptation through computational tools that bridge design, policy, and environmental systems thinking.
Amber also worked as an applied researcher and environmental analyst at KPF, focusing on transient thermal comfort, building energy modeling, and data visualization.
